I just installed OpenOffice.org 3.0, lots of improvements, but still the UI is a mess! I like Zoho’s UI much better although it runs on the Web (and technically should be more limited which is not!).
iWork ‘08 is still my UI hero. Easy to use, beautifully designed and quite accessible.
Office 2008 is the next one. Lots of improvements since 2004 but still some MS cheesyness is there!
OpenOffice.org in the other hand is doing a great job in everything (especially the price tag [read FREE]) but the design factor.
Guys! UI is really important. It’s been important since the age of Flintstones! Work it somehow or people spare a sweet $100 for iWork that is worth it for sure.
