I disagree: The location bar, search bar, and one’s bookmarks are all a core control of the browser application, not site-specific tools. Though I do like the visual design of the new tabs — hierarchically, the tabs-on-top structure just doesn’t make sense.

I totally agree, although sexy, it is (still) awkward.
But it is really fast, even switching between tabs is faster.
